Our Solution to disposable wedding cameras and lost pictures
A brilliant solution!
March 30 2007 our honeymoon ended.
Other that what we paid for we had no pictures of our wedding. So I got to work thinking about how to fix this problem. I know that money was a factor for us so it had to be something affordable. It had to be something that would not "ugly-up" a wedding or cause any additional stress or distraction. It had to be attractive, thoughtful, able to follow the crowd and oh yes- it had to be able to go out and get thousands of pictures from friends and family who potentially know very little about technology. The solution is what we call "Lens Share".
Part #1- Portable kios
Professional photographers use these expensive little boxes to dump their digital film when they are doing a big shoot. We send several kios (that's what we're calling them) to a bride for her wedding and she uses them to collect pictures.

part #2- The wedding party collects the pictures.
The smallest wedding package has 2 kios which should ideally be ran by the Best man and the maid of honor. Those 2 individuals are heavily incented to do a good job collecting the pictures. (Unlike the punch girl or some other last-minute volunteer) larger weddings may use the groomsmen and bridesmaids or even the ushers to collect the photos from the guests.

part #3- Consolidate the pictures.
The kios get return shipped back to our office. All the pictures/videos are pulled off, optional photo improvements are done by technicians and then the pictures/videos are all burned to a set of DVDs. Those Dvds come in a customizable case which is then shipped to the bride. Additional Dvd sets are purchasable, however, we do not lock the dvds that we send you. You can make as many copies as you would like using your own computer.(assuming your computer has a dvd burner).

part #4- Shipping must be hassle free.
The bride gets the kios (that's what we're calling those little boxes) a few days before the wedding. After the wedding they get shipped back to us in a prepaid box. When the dvd's are finished we ship those to the bride. All this is included in the price.

part #4- Long rental periods.
The smallest wedding package allows for a week of use. The kios arrive on the WEDnesday before the WEDding and must be return shipped the WEDnesday after the WEDding. Larger wedding packages permit the kios to be used for additional weeks. We encourage brides to keep a kio in reserve during the wedding and then take it on the honeymoon. Having a near infinite amount of film as you tour your honeymoon resort will be a great convenience.
